The Black Lamb

Two years ago I attended the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Guild yarn sale and came home with many goodies. I actually haven’t knit many of them and they’ve long been buried in the stash.

I pulled out a bag from that outing – this from The Black Lamb Hand Weaving and Spinning Shoppe in Port Hope, Ontario.

The yarn is 80% Superwash Merino 20% Nylon 3 ply; suggested 2.5 mm needles, 28 stitches/4″;  350 yards/100g

There were no numbers on the labels. I do remember their great display, and how their colours reeled me in!

The yarn %s are the same as Lorna’s Laces but the feel isn’t quite the same. (Not better or worse, just not the same.)

I knit them all up in size Medium with the 54 cylinder on the Legare 400. Here are some samples:
