Blue Skies
Jesse scoping out the mysterious crater.
Could it be a meteorite?
Or a Soxophone Player?
Georgian Bay in the background – didn’t freeze over this winter other than about 100 feet around the shore.
There is still lots of snow on the farm, but with several days of +5 degrees, it may be gone before long. So Jesse and I are trying to enjoy an outing each day while it lasts.

Hope you now that you are living in a wonderfull place. What a vue! And I always like to see Jesse.
Gitte from Denmark
Thanks Gitte. I’ve never tired of the view and I’ve been on the farm for twenty years. I especially love going out back, up the knoll where we have a 360 degree view over two river valleys and out onto Georgian Bay.
Oh, and Jesse says Hi!
A pristine snow day is a wonder to behold. I’m glad Jessie loves his outing in the snow. He looks very happy.
And as sure as the sun shines, pristine snow will soon be followed by mud ;o( So for sure we will enjoy our sunny snowy days while we have them, and it looks like several in a row – hurray!
Gorgeous view! Enjoy your snow — we are now into mud season here in Indiana. I always love seeing pictures of Jesse on the farm.
Who doesn’t love some ski-doing in the snow with the pooch! Nice pics!
Hey, in the summer does Jesse get “stick-burs” in his fur? (I don’t know what you’d call them up there). By the end of the summer my dog’s coat is all chopped up from cutting out the burrs and mats after a good romp in the fields. Any ideas?
The worst one up is Burdock – about dime size in diameter. It’s one weed that is virtually eradicated on the farm – it won’t just make a mess in Jesse but it will render sheeps wool worthless. I get a little from next door (where it is not controlled) but I scout for it and spot spray.
There is another in the rough brush in late summer – a pea sized green mini burr. I’m not sure what plants they grow on, and I’ve never seen the plants….but Jesse and my pant legs/socks are full of them when we walk through the tall wild grasses. The good news is they fall out/brush out pretty easy.
Well my USA friends got most of my snow this year, so you may as well have most of my mud ;o)
