I’m having ongoing troubles with my server – Xplorenet – so my blogging has been clipped. In the last ten days, my server has been up for less than 24 hours. They keep telling me it must be my problem, but I took my computer to the shop and they checked it for problems, viruses etc and assure me its clean and fully functional.
I’m inclined to believe the shop because I drive 30 minutes to the nearest free wifi and everything works. Sadly, I can’t post from the free wifi because its very low bandwidth and it would take me a whole day to upload a photo.
So I’m looking for another server, but choices are quite limited in rural areas ;o(
The weather has been as whacky as my server, with mood swings so wild I fear Mother Nature may be going through ‘the change’.
But these swings in weather have made for the nicest fall colours we’ve had in years.
I took this photo on Oct 1, from the back hay field. The leaves are spectacular, yet the grass is a green as May. Days like this seem to make the many (many) dark, cloudy, rainy days bearable.
Cool autumn days are my absolute favourite for hiking, and you just know that Jesse loves them too.
Saturday and Sunday just passed was the Meaford Apple Harvest Craft Show. Beautiful, cool, fall days with only the briefest late day shower on Saturday made for an abundant crowd, eager for some nice woolies.
This coming weekend, Canadian Thanksgiving, is the Escarpment Studio Tour… so I hope the weather and beautiful colours hang on.
And now its back to my sock knitters – ironic that the only reliable technology on this farm is from the 1800′s!

we are rural and use the rogers hub,it started off ok,but for the past 3 weeks we have been without most of the time.It seems there is no reliable high speed internet for rural folks.
Well at least I’m glad I’m not the only one!
